yup schoolage. he won a lopsided decision and hurt pavlik a couple times in the fight. the rest of the ppv was absolutely garbage, i was glancing during the ufc but it was crap and everyone in the chat was going zzzzzzz. $50 for garbage ppv is nuts. thank goodness for mma. |

btw i didnt think hopkins would win like this i am humbled by his performance but 170 might be much for pavlik and hopkins found a nice weight for himself. he said he wants winner of roy vs calzaghe. hopkins has looked good at that weight outside of his fight with calzaghe but he really wants a rematch and said he'd go to uk to do it. i hope roy wins but i don't see it happening. |

Ty, don't edit my custom title bitch

That's the reason I never order boxing PPVs. The main event might be good but the rest of the card is pretty much just an afterthought for the promoters. It's like they put on other fights because they're required to do so but couldn't really care who's fighting who. Doesn't help that the main event will be re-aired on HBO the following week for free. |

yea but real boxing fans don't want to watch a replay of what they already know happens. some fights i want to see on my tv so i'll order but yea boxing better start putting better undercards or they're going to keep losing buys to everything else that has all around good cards. there's a lot on ppv and people are picking and chosing. next is roy jones vs calzaghe with an absolute butt undercard. ill watch that the same way i did this one instead of being insulted. |

The difference is you're a hardcore boxing fan who probably knows who all the top ten guys in the divisions are or at least close to it. I'm just a casual boxing fan who only cares to watch if there's a big fight coming up. |

I've started watching streams since Cotto/Margarito and I've been sticking with them for the most part. As for the fight last night, Pavlik looked really flat to me for some reason, not to take nything from B Hop, Hopkins looked absolutely fantastic in dismantling Pavlik. I was seriously expecting Hopkins to lure him in and counter him, instead he USES Hand Speed and Foot Work, amazing, I would of never thought Hopkins would have the hand speed advantage against Pavlik. Still, I think Pavlik needs to stick to Middleweight division, Hopkins looked bigger than him in that fight. Edited by Dralion, Oct 19 2008, 03:00 PM.

i think the 170 was the main difference but still hopkins at that age shouldn't have done that to pavlik, he dominated. something like cotto vs margarito to me is worth the ppv money, but those fights are getting more and more rare these days. |

Can we call this the E:60 curse? Kimbo was on it, he lost. I saw the piece they did on Pavlik and he got schooled.

Well as of late alot of recent fights have been one sided, especially the recent Tarver/Dawson fight (which i have no idea why the announcers were saying this was a FOTY candidate before the fight) and the Peters fights on the same card. Well now its on to Darchinyan vs Mijares now, I'm thinking that maybe very one sided as well. |

well vic dominated so that sucked. on a funny note pavlik vs hopkins ppv did 190,000 buys and thats obviously a bomb of a ppv. they didn't even try to hide it, they said it "sucked" but they tried to blame it on the economy of course not the fact that shit should've been on hbo boxing after dark not ppv. hopkins IS NOT ppv fighter i don't give a shit on good he's doing right now. i'll be watching the roy vs joe stream tonight, i almost felt like ordering it cause i'm so fucking bored and i don't have my wireless connection right now to sit on my bed and watch it meaning i have to sit here and watch it uncomfortably on my desktop. the undercard is poopoo too so that's not helping. maybe i'll get it last minute but i'm doing my damnedest to fight that urge and not waste $50 on boredom. |
