Im Just Sayin' Posts: 605 Group: Members Member #55 Joined: October 22, 2005	Here's the story: My friend is a single mom, who used to date this guy who was a chiropractor. For a couple years they dated. One year on her boy's birthday, he doesn't know what to get him. So he gives him these gloves that he got at a charity auction in the states a few years back. He said he wasn't a boxing fan, he just got them cuz it was for charity, and to impress somebody, or something. Anyways he gives them to her boy for his birthday.......like his 7th birthday!!!!! He said maybe it'll turn him into a boxing fan! The kid's 16 now. Not a boxing fan, but kinda realizes what it means to have them. either way it's fucking sweet!

She happened to know Pernell Whitaker who was one of boxing's all time best pound for pound boxers. Whitaker was all over this chick trying to get her but she didn't want him. He invited her to his hall of fame induction and she invited my friend. He declined because it so happens Whitaker is his favorite boxer of all time and he didn't want to be put in that situation because he said he would probably be star struck and more into meeting and hanging out with Whitaker than her. If it was me and my favorite boxer ever i would have went.
