It appears that Manny Pacquaio vs. Ricky Hatton is in the works to be taking place May 2 at 140 lbs. |

What's the source? It's possible but i don't think Pac and his people are talking to Hatton yet, they're attempting to pull Mayweather out of retirement first. If he doesn't bite then Hatton is next in line but i think they'll try hard to make Mayweather first cause it's more money and more to gain where if he loses to Hatton he loses to a guy Mayweather tooled, more risk less reward. |

I saw it on the ESPN ticker last night. Fight probably isn't signed yet but they could be talking. They could probably draw a pretty big crowd if they do it in England. I guess that it does make more sense to try to do a Mayweather fight first because even if you lose the fight you can still do a fight with Hatton afterwards, you can't do both the other way around. Damn if it was Dan Rafael from ESPN then it's probably legit and it means Mayweathers not budging. Maybe Mayweather is waiting for Pac to try and beat Hatton in hopes Hatton beats him so no one will care. But if he beats Hatton badly like Oscar then it sells big to come out of retirement and fight at 140 or 47 and the win will knock off the #1 p4p guy in the sport when he left. He doesn't need Cotto anymore, and Margarito even though dangerous isn't a draw like Manny. Speaking of Margarito, i think if Mayweather fights him, it seems dangerous but i think Mayweather wins easier than people think cause he has crazy cardio too, doesn't get hit a lot and Margarito's weakness if that he is slow so he'd chase Mayweather all day and probably never catch him while gets tattooed all day by Mayweather who wins possibly a boring but clear decision. |
